“Find The Love” is the latest release from the six member ensemble from the Netherlands from as The Jazz Invaders. Their ten track disc is smoothed out soul jazz layered with warm harmonies and solid horn arrangements layered over Disco rhythms. “Disco Fever” is a soft mid-tempo boogie tune sprinkled with Linda Bloemhard’s sweetened vocals. The title track starts out with a bit of funky fusion flavor before seguing into mellow soul. “Much Rosie”, the only instrumental showcases sweet horn soloing and organ rhythms. Overall this is a pleasant journey to the land of eighties flavored Disco grooves, no doubt you’ll enjoy the ride. – Reg Dancy 06/16 Continue reading

DJ Nova – Planet Radio Greece
Jazzinvaders band is part of my early radio days, when nu jazz was on top of the list of many music lovers worldwide… Jazzinvaders are back once again and aiming to be on the top of the list of a wider music crowd and they can succeed on it. Their new album leaves first a taste of Acid Jazz trend of the nineties sound but as it plays track by track a whole kaleidoscope of fuzzy and fancy sounds and colours appears. 100% funk, jazz funk, boogie even disco, full of Brazilian, Latin Jazz and soul elements… Very well done! – Dj Nova – Planet Radio Greece
Linda’s Tour Report
In the preparation to the tour with Azymuth members Ivan Conti and Alex Malheiros I have to admit I had no idea what they were all about. It was only when my fellow musician friends started to react very enthusiastic and excitedly started singing the themes they knew from Azymuth records I knew i had missed out on something. How wonderful then to, already for 9 years, be part of a group with someone like Phil Martin who came up with the idea to invite these great musicians and icons of original Samba Soul Disco invaders to play with us. All My Music – Helmut Blecher
Soul Brother
Dutch jazz/dance group Jazzinvaders team up with the legendary organist Lonnie Smith for this kicking new 1o track album that was recorded live in the studio. Lonnie’s Hammond B3 is prominent throughout, but especially on the hard hitting ‘Nelson’ uptempo ‘Mellow Mood’ and ‘Song For Lonnie’. ‘Tie Aim’ and ‘Tastich’ are really nice laid back mid tempo grooves. The storming cover of ‘Little Sunflower’ ft Linda Bloemhard’ on vocals is a real shifter and another highlight. Excellent album for Jazz heads.
