What an amazing sounding album and with the Hammond master alongside nothing can go wrong. In love with this production!

Spectacular release. Great mixture of grooves around Dr. Lonnie Smith that sets the place on FIYAH. RESPECT!

The result of this collaboration is amazing, the connection between the rootz jazz sound of Jazzinvaders and the jazz legend Lonnie Smith works perfectly and the result is dancefloor friendly too. Dancefloor jazz with a sense of the classic Blue Note sound that meets middle euro jazz extensions, even it is about afro, boogaloo or anything else. When the vocalist Linda Bloemhard comes in, it feels like I hear 4 Hero in jazz sessions. Doctor Lonnies Hammond makes you lose sense of time, you no longer know whether you’re in the 60’s, 70’s or in present times. Fave track ‘’No Cure’’.
Paul ‘ABBO’ Abbott – www.starpointradio.com
Recorded in the mould of the heady Jazz Funk styles of the late seventies ad early eighties ,loving it’s feel and the way it has wonderfully been put together. Personal favourites include ‘hey hey yeah yeah’’Song for Lonnie’’Buzzin’ and the wonderful cover of Freddie Hubbards ‘Little sunflower’.
